AUDITIONS

Welcome! We're so glad you would like to audition for our musical, Hatter's Daughter! Read the script here.​

We are holding another round of auditions as more males are needed. The roles remaining are:

GEROME TOPPS: age 40-50, lead; the Hatter, loving father, distracted, folksy; sings solo

RENARD ROUSSEAU: age 25-40, Goats Lodge secretary; playboy, positivity parrot; sings in barbershop quartet

BEETAL: 20-30, Goats Lodge member; shy with girls, comedic, sings in quartet

ENSEMBLE: All ages: Goats Lodge members, shoppers, orphans, townspeople

Auditions are by appointment. Sign up for a 15-minute slot, on Sunday, August 15 at 5:00 or 5:15pm.  Then plan to stay for the dance audition from 5:30-6pm.

Dress in comfortable clothing and shoes. 

​

Please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue and a 1-2 minute song selection, preferably from the stage-musical genre. Bring a device with instrumental accompaniment to sing along with.

Please fill out the audition form PDF provided on this page. If you are unable to print the form, you may fill it out electronically and attach to an email to rurupainter@ gmail.com, or we will have a hard copy for you to fill out by hand before your appointment.

Rehearsals begin September 13.

The performance is scheduled for November 26-28 (after Thanksgiving Day) at the Grants Pass Performing Arts Center. There will be five performances.

You will be required to attend Tech Week rehearsals Nov 22-24, with Nov 25, Thanksgiving Day, free as a holiday. If you have any other conflicts between Sept 13 and Nov 22, please note them on the audition form. Thank you!
